Pick your resolution, frame rate and motion level to get a recommended export bitrate, then add a duration for an estimated file size. Useful for upload masters and delivery specs.
For 1080p at 24–30fps, roughly 8 Mbps for standard motion is a solid upload master (around 12 Mbps at 60fps). Higher motion — gaming, fast action — wants more; talking-head content can go lower. The calculator adjusts for all of these.
Only up to a point. Past the level the platform re-encodes to, extra bitrate just makes a bigger file with no visible gain. Export a clean master at the recommended rate and let the platform do its pass.
It is a close estimate based on average (constant) bitrate plus audio. Variable-bitrate exports and complex footage vary, but it is accurate enough to plan uploads and storage.
