Where your camera has a dual native ISO, favor the higher native value for low light, as it gives the cleanest high-ISO image the sensor can produce. As rough ceilings to aim under for usable noise: roughly ISO 6400 on full-frame, 3200 on APS-C, and 1600 on Micro Four Thirds, though modern cameras can go higher when the scene is bright enough.
Fast glass is the real low-light weapon. A lens at f/1.4 to f/2.0 gathers far more light than a kit zoom, letting you keep ISO down for cleaner footage. If you shoot log, a slight overexposure (a third to a stop) protects the shadows from the worst noise, since you can pull it back down in the grade. Whatever you do, judge exposure on a scope rather than the brightness of the LCD, which lies in a dark venue.
The single most damaging mistake at a concert is leaving white balance on auto. Stage lights change color constantly, and auto white balance will chase them, so your shots lurch between tints and a performer moving across a colored wash will shift the entire frame's color. Set a manual white balance (a daylight-ish value around 5600K is a common starting point, or a value that suits the dominant wash) and lock it, so the colored stage lighting is captured as the intentional color it is, ready to be balanced consistently in the grade.
Equally important: match your cameras. Use the same camera model everywhere, or at least bodies from the same manufacturer with matched picture profiles, frame rate, shutter, and white balance, so colors and exposure do not jump when the edit cuts between angles. Mismatched cameras force hours of painful matching in post and never fully agree. Set every camera identically before doors open and confirm they look the same on a monitor.
Concert coverage is about giving the editor options and protecting against any one camera failing or missing a moment. A strong basic plan: a locked wide that holds the whole stage as a safety and master, one or two operated cameras working mediums and close-ups of the frontperson and key players, and side or three-quarter angles for dimension. Three-quarter angles from between center and the wings give the most flattering, dynamic look on a performer; pure side profiles read as variety inserts.
Plan who covers what so you are not all on the singer's face at once: assign a camera to wides, one to the lead, one roaming for guitarists, drummer, and crowd reactions. Modern PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras with good low-light performance and smooth, slow motorized moves are increasingly used for locked-off remote angles you cannot staff, and some auto-track the performer. Shoot the same base frame rate and shutter on every camera. Capture more than you think you need: crowd shots, detail inserts of hands and pedals, and atmospheric wides all give the cut texture and cutaways to hide any angle problems.
Camera-mic audio at a loud show is unusable, a distorted, boomy mess. The professional move is to take a clean feed from the front-of-house mixing console (the sound desk): the mixed program out, or ideally a multitrack recording you can mix later, captured to a dedicated audio recorder. That gives you a clean, balanced soundtrack that makes the video sound like a record rather than a phone in a crowd.
There is a sync subtlety worth knowing: the board feed and the cameras can have different latencies, so a reliable trick is to also run the board feed into at least one camera. That camera's scratch audio experiences the same delay path as the video, giving you a dependable reference to sync the clean recording and all the angles together in post. Before doors, lock every camera's frame rate, shutter, white balance, and profile and confirm they match on a monitor. Use fast lenses, secure your locked cameras on solid tripods, and scout your operated positions so you have clean sightlines that do not block the paying crowd. Bring more storage and battery than you expect; you cannot stop a show to swap a card mid-song, so use high-capacity cards and run cameras you can monitor.
