Video Editing Glossary

Multicam

Editing footage from several cameras of the same event, synced together.

Multicam editing combines multiple camera angles of one event — a concert, interview or podcast — synced so you can switch between them in real time. Angles are aligned via timecode or audio waveform, then cut on motion and meaning, and color-matched so they blend seamlessly.
