Coverage

All the different shots of a scene an editor has to work with.

Coverage is the set of angles and shot sizes captured for a scene — master, mediums, close-ups, inserts, reverses. More coverage gives the editor more options to pace, emphasize and fix problems. Thin coverage limits what the cut can do.
