A great gaming montage is not just a highlight reel thrown together with a hype track underneath it. It is a structured piece of content with a deliberate energy curve, clips ranked and sequenced for maximum payoff, and cuts that feel like they land with the music rather than over it. Whether you are building a cinematic edit for YouTube or chopping vertical clips for Shorts and Reels, the fundamentals are the same.
